Official Announcement of Pope Francis' Funeral

The Press Office of the Holy See has announced that, on Wednesday, the holy remains of His Holiness Pope Francis will be transferred from the Santa Marta residence to St. Peter’s Basilica, where they will be placed for public veneration

In accordance with this decision, the faithful will have the opportunity to pay their respects and offer prayers until the funeral ceremony.

Additionally, the Press Office of the Holy See officially announced that the funeral ceremony for His Holiness, beloved Pope Francis, will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Square.
