Ordination of Rev. Sanjaajav Peter

2021-11-09

The land of the eternal blue sky is once again blessed through the ordination to the priesthood of one of its sons. It is such a beauty to behold the Catholic Church in Mongolia is picking pace in its growth and with that are vocations for the holy order of priesthood serving their country men and the Catholic Church at large. We need more local clergy that is the truth we need to face, the growing number of Mongolian catholic should be accompanied by young Mongolian men willing to stand up and carry out the mission of Christ in the priestly order, administering to the Mongolian catholic the sacraments and translating the whole catholic tradition in manner close to the Mongolian cultural collective consciousness, thus effectively bringing the good news to the Mongolian people.

On the 20th of October 2021, through series of postponement and long await, we finally witness the priestly ordination of Rev. Sanjaajav Peter. Though restrictions and limitations were enforced the ordination was solemn and smooth. Trusting solely on the providence of God all went well and the Mongolian Catholic community has its second priest. The event was graced by the presence of our Apostolic Nuncio Alfred Xureb who was with our very own shepherd Bishop Giorgio Marengo. Together with several other priest, representatives from different religious institutions and communities, were present to welcome the newly ordained to their ranks as priest of God.

We continue to pray for vocation that more and more young Mongolian will engaged themselves as servants in the building of the community of God in this beautiful and blessed land.
