Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Holy See to Mongolia, Giovanni Gaspari, visited the Gandantegchenlin Monastery, Centre of Mongolian Buddhism

On February 21, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Holy See to Mongolia, Giovanni Gaspari, visited the Gandantegchenlin Monastery, Centre of Mongolian Buddhism and met with Ven. Khamba Nomun Khan D. Javzandorji.

Khamba Nomun Khan D. Javzandorji welcomed the Ambassador to the Gandantegchenlin Monastery and, upon hearing about the health of His Holiness Pope Francis, wished him a speedy recovery and prayed for his continued religious activity.

Ambassador Giovanni Gaspari shared his memories of his first visit to the Gandantegchenlin Monastery in 1996 as a young priest and expressed his gratitude for the monastery and its efforts to foster interfaith understanding and dialogue.

Khamba Nomun Khan D. Javzandorj, sent an official letter to Pope Francis, wishing him a speedy recovery in health and a return to his work for the good of humanity.
